SLoCaT launched the Bonn Liaison Office

On June 8th, the Partnership for Sustainable Low Carbon Transport launched the "SLoCaT Bonn Liaison Office" in Bonn during a reception. The Liaison Office will support networking of the partnership in Europe and the UN City of Bonn. It's a first step towards increasing activities of the partnership that are mainly carried out by the "Conveners' Office" in New York.

Tasks of the Bonn Liaison Office are:

  • Representation and support of SLoCaT during climate negotiations in Bonn and being a voice for sustainable land transport
  • Communication to UNFCCC other Bonn-based climate organizations and giving visibility to SLoCaT
  • Direct contact for Europe-based organization (hotline) and representing the partnership at meetings in Europe

The office will be located in the GTZ office building in Bonn and GTZ provides resources for the office. It might be upgrade if SLoCaT enhances its activities. Daniel Bongardt (GTZ, Transport Policy Advisor) will be the focal point. The contact address is:
